Are the characters from skylanders 1-5 compatible? [CLOSED]

As i havent seen any article about this, im getting worried about the old guys and starting all over again. Has anyone heard anything about the compatibility in this game?

They are. What we don't know is if they unlock character creation parts like the Senseis.

there was an article that seemed to confirm it:

"We certainly respect people's collections, including this making sure all the previous characters were playable - it's been an important aspect of development. And certainly going forward we want to make sure these characters are supported as well. It's always been a core tenet of ours to do that.""
