I have one big question, that I would like to get an official answer to (if any youtuber or someone that gets a chance to ask). Will bowser and DK work with the Wii U version of Imaginaters. This is a real question because it depends on the contract with Nintendo, for all we know it could have only been for one game. Also they where called guest stars not skylanders. As for the rule that all figures are forwards compatible amiibolanders ae known for braking rules (first sylanders that did not work on all systems). Really it come down to the contract with Nintendo. This question is important for my pre-order decision, I plan to get the Wii U version if they will work if not I plan on getting PS4 version.

Well, they have stated that "all older Skylanders work with Imaginators." However, there really is no way to know yet if that includes the Skymiibo. I'd say no, given the nature of Nintendo, but hopefully I'm wrong.

I mean it would benefit Nintendo in good way if they are playable (it would make more people buy the Wii U version to keep using the figures they already bought). But I would really like some news on this.

I sincerely believe both Activision and Nintendo are smart enough to realize how poorly it would look if the amiibo figures did not work going forward.

They really need to let them work for at least one more game. Superchargers barely gave us enough on foot content to put them to good use.

Nintendolife has an article saying they work.

Also ebgames.au shows the Wii U box art. So it looks like there will be no new ones. https://ebgames.com.au/wiiu-21...rter-Pack-Wii-U

Thanks! Yah it confirms they work, "There's no news (so far) of any further amiibo collaborations but we have confirmation that the new instalment will support the existing Nintendo Skylanders." so thanks. Now I can geek out and get all exited about the game! Bowser and pain-yata in one game!

That could just be a placeholder, and they might announce the skymiibo at E3
