Also, in major Crash news: Lex Lang, Cortex's current VA, is hinting that he's been working on three "revived" characters, a doctor, devil, and a droid

All this teasing better lead up to something. Other leaks are also have rumors that they show no special thanks to Activision for this easter egg on the credits, which would be required since they modded the game to have tutorial pictures.

Remember that having the first Crash Bandicoot doesn't mean that Sony got the franchise's rights back, since, technically, the first four games are property of Sony/Naughty Dog.

Yeah, Sony holds the publishing rights to the Naughty Dog developed Crash titles. So they probably didn't need permission from the current IP owner. Otherwise, you could bet ActiBlizz would've pumped those games out onto, say, Xbox Live, in an attempt to earn some extra profit.

Publishing yes, but the game was tinkered with for tutorial and new animations. At least that's what some fans are speculating is enough.

Oh, I heard humors that Sony got a Activision franchise, but it's actually the Spider-Man gaming franchise. This is not exactly Crash-related, but it's a signal of possible new negotiations between the two companies.
