Maybe they're adding another TKC variant in this update? Highly doubt it, but an Egg Bomber TKC would be.. interesting.

Or maybe it'll just be another Green Gill Grunt-type of variant, who knows.

The last rumors we were hearing were the opposite - Activision engaging with conversations with Netflix to kill Season 2, and somehow we get a season 3 announcement? I'm curious what this equates to gaming wise, but I wouldn't put ANY faith into an entry next year unless the franchise has been moved entirely to a new developer *doubtful*.

Hmm at least 2 previous Sky games have had 3 Easter type SkyLanders before (in egg packaging and some color palettes)...wonder if they're revisiting that.

Well, it could have gone down like this.

Activision: "We don't want to fund this show anymore; we want to pull the plug on season 2 right now."

Netflix: "Sorry, you're under contract to finish co-funding season 2, and our lawyers aren't going to let you out of it."

Activision: (grudgingly) "Okay."

Netflix: "Plus, the show is doing so well for us ratings-wise that we'd like to make you a better deal for season 3, where you put in little to no money and still get revenue from the show."

Activision: "Whee!"

However, as you said, this doesn't magically make the game series profitable enough for Activision to want to keep making more games. It just means that Skylanders is doing well on television.

Ugh, I'm glad I caved and bought Chain Reaction for my tech sensei - I certainly don't want to pay adventure pack prices for both Wild Storm and Ro-Bow. Looks like Toys for Bob will be busy producing the Wild Storm and Ro-Bow adventure packs for the next couple of months. (I wonder if the Ro-Bow AP is the 'new project' that Bifrost mentioned?)

At least now we seemingly have a firm street date for Tidepool, Ro-Bow and Blaster-Tron, though. That's something. =)

Dunno, when teams talk about different projects, it's 100% new. Some post-update content shouldn't count, this feels like repackaging content that they couldn't finish in time(and considering Imaginators' length, it's very likely).

More fantastic news, and I still haven't got over the announcement of Cursed Tiki Temple.
Now I only hope these new levels won't be rushed or full of reused assets.

I would have preferred some new toys but I doubt their creation and production can be as fast as updating the software with more in-game content (which is why I think we won't see unplanned Skylanders soon) but I would love to see more of this kind of post-release content in the future.

I mean, I still think there's a possibility that there could be a Heartbreaker Buckshot release, maybe late. But I suppose it's possible for a third Easter Variant replacing Heartbreaker Buckshot. But why Tae Kwon Crow? He already has a variant! Why not one who does't have a variant?

Still, looking forward to these new releases coming soon. I'm certain the remaining Imagine Crystals will release with the Senseis.

Wild storm has been confirmed for March 12th, but we don't know a date for Pain-Yatta or Grave Clobber.

Well, now that we know what is in the last wave, any word on the Chompy Mage yet?

I hope it's the Magic Crystal from the 8-Pack, since both of the other two have been available in Sensei+CC combo packs.

When wave 4 and 5 come out, I hope that the last 8 crystals would be in these waves. I would want 4 crystals in wave 4 and 4 crystals in wave 5. I would like one dark crystal in each wave. It would be eight crystals because many people didn't get the 8-pack or the 3-pack with the dark pyramid because they didn't want to get multiples of some crystals.

I've heard about an update in March that adds more Imaginator parts in the game. Do I need the Cursed Tiki Temple Pack to unlock the new parts, or do they just get added automatically?

I'm asking because the update and AP were announced at the same time, but I haven't heard anything else about the update. Also, the Tech Realm unlocks exclusive gear, so I think it could be the same with the Cursed Tiki Temple.

That GameStop isn't the only one. My friend Remixed Skylanders on Instagram told me that his GameStop had Heartbreaker Buckshot in their system

so looks like that Heartbreaker Buckshot i is not canceled after all .

I went to Gamestop today and there is nothing in the system for Heartbreaker Buckshot or any other Skylanders pre-orders for that matter. Looks like it is not a sure thing just yet.

I'm actually optimistic about the future of Skylanders now, since they're actually giving us release dates for waves.

Looks like I'll have to figure out what to use my two free GameStop Skylanders coupons on. Tidepool, Ro-Bow and Blaster-Tron are all in the next wave after 4/15. Wild Storm is the only one I want from this wave, but I'll have to pay the cost difference. Hopefully I could find a Chain Reaction so that other coupon doesn't totally go to waste.
