If the title makes sense.

So, you know when you go up to a random NPC and flame or charge them, and they might jump or scream (for example, the monkey bear things in Sunny Villa in YOTD)? I was playing Gateway to Glimmer yesterday and realised that any time I did this to any character, none of them reacted. Is this because it's the PSN version?

I don't remember characters reacting to being flamed or anything in the second game, regardless of the version.

Characters didn't start interacting to being flamed until AHT, I think. I've got the PS1 discs (several different versions) and nobody ever reacts to being flamed (that I remember).

I'm pretty sure that Spyro 1 and Spyro 2 don't have animations for charging or flaming NPCs. I can't remember if there are any in Spyro 3. Since you're talking about Spyro 2, though, I don't think there's anything strange about that.

Edit: Spyro 3 does have characters that react to you. Like you said, the... I think they're mice? or koala bears? in Sunny Villa will jump up if you hit them:

This being said, other characters, Hunter for instance, won't react at all. Interesting.

If I recall correctly, wasn't it Spyro 4 where characters react?
