exactly why I said an AP villain instead of a main game one. They'll never make Kaos not the main bad guy.

Kaos is outdated. They should give him a rest for 1 or 2 games.
Skylanders have enough interessting villains.

That's one of the good things about the Spyro games. Every game except Enter The Dragonfly have a new main villain.

The way I see it, they would never take Kaos out as the bad guy, so they would have to have him team up with Malefor or something, and there's two problems with that:

1. Malefor DOES NOT seem like the type to work with anyone. Well, maybe if he manipulated them into doing something for him, but then that leads into the second problem.

2. It would be too like SuperChargers with The Darkness. Kaos would team up with a powerful being because they wanted to manipulate him into give them what they wanted, and then they try to force their plans over his when it looks like he's winning. Then, Kaos would refuse, and then the great evil would go on to try and conquer Skylands themselves since they are powerful enough. In my honest opinion, it would be like that with both The Darkness and Malefor, and a repeat of that story line would be stale.

I could see him being his own villain in the show or an AP level, but not as a whole main game villain.

I liked the idea Zap had a while ago with Malefor - that we get an AP for Imaginators that adds a 5 level mini story with Malefor as the main villain. I think it would work better that way than having him as a main villain.

IT won't believe me...Because they won't start recording unless some of the epsoides are already animated so there's no point in cancellation such a successful cartoon .

I like what Eric is doing to the show it's amazing !!!
He's expanding the lore by adding so many diffrent ideas that aren't present in the games he's steering the show to the right route.

if it's not simply for the sake of reference on how to change Spyro's tone, I wonder if it's a Nega Scott Pilgrim(movie only I think?) situation where Dark Spyro is a humble, helpful yet low esteem alter-ego of Spyro? That'd be pretty funny.

Well to be fair, in Skylanders Superchargers, Kaos was given a character development during his dilemma of whenever or not he wants to take over Skylands or destroy it to set goals to take over the Universe. We all could expect that Superchargers might be the last game he's going to be a villain since he's going to be on the Skylanders side as he got a figure in game. But it's ashamed that in Imaginators, he returns and he did mentioned he wants to destroy Skylands instead of taking over it causing his development to end on short notice and his point of conquering the universe instead of Skylands was all in the past. Although I do glad that in Academy, he did had a development as he wants to impress his Mother and not putting his high priority on conquering something.

That could be true that Toys for Bob are not the greatest storytellers for the franchise but there are times that they made the story and the gimmick work each other and give the characters great charisma. (Like Trap Team) Vicarious Visions are the ones who want to experiment this franchise by giving SWAP Force a new setting instead of using "Returning to the Place from last installment" trope that many franchises such as Mario, Call of Duty and Pokémon (only in remakes) keeps doing this trope while bringing some new stuff in. VV is also the one that made the series almost darker by giving Superchargers a very good narrative of the characters and the peril they're going against. Vicarious Visions are also the one that introduced jumping in SWAP Force.

So if they really want Seven to succeed in sales, They have to get VV to work out a incredible story for it because I think Toys for Bob's out of ideas for it. Don't get me wrong, they're not giving up on it. There are many creativity they could work out with the gimmicks such as Crystals in both Trap Team and Imaginators and memorable characters factions such as Giants, Trap Masters and Senseis. Compare to the Crash level and the DLC levels that Toys for Bob had made, it really safe to say while the levels are... okay, the executions of each level concept are really bad.

How do you think they could improve the franchise's lore to make it more understandable and memorable to the fans and casual gamers.
Skylanders Academy did it,
The IDW Comics did it,
Heck. Even The Mask of Powers did it.

I agree with brifost...imaginators seems rushed / unpolished and the skylanders being npcs seems kind of forced and just an excuse to copy academy. I Think that the developers had more freedom with giants and trap team.

Not forced. Academy is pretty much a high-end fanfic to the main games; if it wowed the TFB devs hard enough and they're already pressured for time, it's an easy mistake to go 'ok we need to promote the show, let's just make the plot look like it' and not take in the fact that Eric actually cared about plot near the end and slipped in references and odd sentences to get you interested. Imaginators just threw the gags and none of the hooks.
