...I'm probably being a total 3D animation noob,but isn't the game itself CG as well? I mean if they'd to it in-engine like their cutscenes or make it from scratch, unless CG is really the latter.

CGI means Computer Generated Images. So, it's just that the graphics of the series will be made in computer. Even 2D animation can be CGI.

Yeah. So the series will use three-dimensional graphics. I will wonder if they will be in style with the cutscenes or the Trap Team commercials.

Those shows are episodic, meaning what happens in one episode doesn't usually carry over to the next.

Kung Fu Panda LoA is like a midquel between the first and second Kung Fu Panda movies. Light-hearted story with plenty of action and serious moments in many episodes.

Sonic Boom is a spinoff series of the main Sonic The Hedgehog franchise. Comedy is the main focus, but there is still some action/adventure moments. As for the continuity, the producer/show runner has said that it is very minor and is shown through references or returning characters from a previous episode.

I'm leaning more to Sonic Boom's minor continuity because television networks tend show episodes out of order now a days and that way the writers of Skylanders Academy won't have to worry about major plotholes.

I honestly probably WON'T watch the show. I just don't trust too many TV shows or movies based around video games.

Except Pokémon and Wreck-it Ralph

Which ironically is my favorite TV show and one of my favorite movies.

I personally think the animation on it will be similar to the Cutscenes in Giants/Swap-Force/Trap-Team/SuperChargers (Or) How they look in the trailers for the game :/
