Left Analog? or Directional pad? [CLOSED]

Which is better? I have a bad thumb (I smashed it in my car door OUCH!) and my parents say I should use analog. Just curious to find out what you guys use to control spyro.

I can't stand the d-pad! I always use the analog. And ouch, that must've hurt...

I used to use the D-pad when I was younger but now I use the analog stick cuz some games only let u use the analog (ex: Jak and Daxter).

I love the analog cuz it's so easy! the d-pad can cause a thumbache.
ps. also my dad got a HUGE blister from using the d-pad. (me and my dad are the video-gamers of the house)

Same here. And Now after getting used using the analogue stick so much I now automatically use the analogue stick, even when I don't need to

I only use the d-pad for driving. (I like to play smurf racing!)

I use analogue for everything in videogames. Exept for the PS1 Tomb Raider games. Controls are awkward with analogue.

YIPE!!!!!!!!! I once had a friend that slammed his thumb into a heavy school classroom door and he said it really hurt. Anyway, only when I only need to go back and forth or up and down I use the D-pad. Otherwise, I always slip back to the analog stick.

I felt the same way, It was throbing and it was red,black and blue. The kids at scool called me rainbow finger smilie .

I agree with redthedragon the d-pad thumbaches because the game Crash Bandicoot only lets use d-pads and my thumb hurts really when I play it to long.

Yeah, me too. I was playing Crash a few weeks ago and boy did my thumb hurt. Ow! Atleast Crash Bandicoot: Warped let's you use the Anologue stick. The only time I ever use the D-pad is when I'm selecting something in the menu.

I use the dpad most of the time for PS1 games, but use the analog stick when the dpad selects breaths (which is a stupid idea)

I used to use the D-pad, but after playing a few games that don't let you use it, (like ANB ) I subconsiously switched to analog. O.o

Oh, the analog stick. Pretty much all third-person games force you to use the analog stick to move these days. Lokk ar AHT and ANB. The D-pad was used to select your breath.

one time my aunt accidentily slammed the truck door on my wrist(she diddent kno it was there)
anyway...
i only use my analog stick for ps2 games because it HATES ps1 games since whenever I try to use it for a ps1 game it stick in one place every time i push up or down!

I use both depending on what I'm trying to do.

If I'm fighting and I won't good dexterity I use the analoge.

But if I won't to control my direction perfectly eg controlling a cannon. I use the d-pad.

Analog Stick. (It's a lot more flexible than the D-Pad, and it helps me get to some glitch spots a lot more easier.)
