That's where you are wrong! (I think...) Splatter Splasher was discovered during the Skylanders.com leaks; wasn't it?
Either way, I distinctly remember a third Nitro (and going back there has made me confirm that two Nitros were discovered that day, based on the dialogue, since all the images were removed and all the links broken; worse the Nitros were always posted as images, never links, so we don't have url confirmation)

Just to be certain, is this list correct for the figures (not vehicles) without any variants?

Eruptor
Gill Grunt
Highvolt
Nightfall
Stormblade
Terrafin

There are probably 10 vehicles without variants but I don't really care about them to look up to tell which ones those are. So it seems there are 26 variants and 16 without. The variants win the battle!

Luckily I am not a huge variant collector and Splat is the only top priority character for me out of the entire lot. I'm betting it's a set though as her boat is blue too, so that's at least $30 there. Come to think of it, all these extras probably adds up to around a $600 to $700 dent in the serious collectors wallets (much more if several were bought off pf ebay). I feel pretty sad for you serious collectors that gotta collect them all.

I actually copypasted someone else's list and rearranged it... Nitro splatter splasher was ONLY there because I thought there was ALSO a nitro version, whoever MADE the list forgot to list Power Blue, mmk? I didn't call it Nitro by mistake...
It just so happens that they actually forgot to list Power Blue, so it seems like I made one mistake, when I actually made the other...

Don't know about anyone else, but 40+27 = 67. That's not that far off last year's number (80 iirc), and we got A LOT MORE figures.

Actually, pictures of Power Blue Splat and Gold Rusher were taken in-game, so they are not chase variants.

For the Power Blue variants... I saw Trigger Happy listed on one site, but not on two others. I tried to find the one that lists him as a PB, but it was somewhere on myskylanders.de

My question is, did someone just make it up that Trigger Happy has a Power Blue? Seems like they wouldn't do that because of Pop Fizz.

Actually, we KNOW they're not because they were DISCOVERED through hacking the game files... Chase variants aren't listed by name in game, fool! /supervillain
And the Event Exclusive Hot Streak shows up differently (like the figure does) in the final product, I believe... I think I saw a pic of an IN GAME EE Hotstreak, complete with the mismatched wheels... (EE hot streak must've showed up as Golden Hot Streak in the Demo Versions because they didn't program it in [why they programmed in Golden Hot Streak, I have no idea]) I also listed both Gold and Event Exclusive because they're BOTH in game variants!

Wait... no one's going to touch this?

400 is *way* too low. My TRU had 12 or so PS4 starters with GHS in them. Still had some eariler today. No way there's only 400.

As for the amount of variants... Did everyone forget Giants? Including Pumpkin EyeBrawl (who wasn't really an alt-deco, but was close enough), we had 5 alts from the 8 "guest stars".

Not at all surprised by the number of variants this game. It's helluva cheaper to recolor an existing character (digitally and physically) rather than make a whole new character. Variants give the hard-core collectors something to aim for while giving the more casual fans a break (which is well needed after Trap Team... hey, we hard core collectors need a break after Trap Team too!)

-The game does keep track of the E3 Hot Streak, Gold Hot Streak and regular one separately. Whether it does on the inventory I couldn't tell you.
-It does check for the Platinum Hidden Treasure chest still. Thankfully the icon isn't on by default this time, but it's still rather funny.
-It does check for the legendary traps
-Checks are made for both variants of Fright Rider, though someone might want to check to see if they are added to the inventory screen.

Sadly "Legendary Stormblade" looks to be the a goof on my part looking at it closely. I misread "Stormbird" as Stormblade. Stormbird is Free Ranger's old name, while Stormblade is Peacock. So there's no new legendary to add there, sorry guys.

Yeah sorry about that. It's not consistent with the placholder names, though I think they should've kept Splat's (Ink Well).

Interestingly there's a check for a character from Swap Force called "Zodiac" internally, that had a variant and a lightcore. Going to guess this is probably Star Strike, but still strange given it looks for her other name too ("Fan Girl")
