Shareware/Freeware Policy [CLOSED]

So I've seen in the rules that nobody's allowed to share any ROMs of any games such as Spyro and whatnot, but what if the games we were talking about were Shareware or Freeware? Would it still violate the ROM rule?

If the game is freeware I would suspect it's fine? The rules against sharing ROMs is largely to prevent piracy of content you should otherwise pay for (e.g. Spyro games).
