How do I check if someone responded to my topic on the fourms without going to the fourms and finding my post?

That's really the only way to do it, other than subscriptions.

Go to your profile setting and then click the link titled: "View Posts". There you can see all the posts you've made and if those topics have gotten new replies. By clicking on the "Last Post"-link the topics with the latest replies come on top.

You can use the "subscription" feature. It doesn't exactly tell you which topic has received a post since you last checked, but it'll alert you of how many posts you haven't seen in all of your subscribed topics.

To subscribe to a topic, click the "subscribe" button on the top right corner underneath the topic's title. When a subscribed topic has a new post, the "subscriptions" line in your user profile box at the very top of the page (which includes your avatar, username and rank) will display a number enclosed in brackets corresponding to the number of new/unread posts.

Check to see if there is a Gold Dragon near your topic. Sometimes it's gray.
