Titanic always gets me, so does Marley & Me. The Book Thief upsets me, too.

Probably Bridge to Terrabithia, but I cried way more in the 2009 Astro boy movie.

My first thought when I saw this title was Bridge to terabithia, and it looks like I'm not alone. I refer to watch it because of how sad it is.

I would not watch a sad movie. Nobody likes to cry.

The saddest I've gone is when stoick dies in HTTYD2

Not true.

Also, you should probably put that last part in spoiler tags because not everyone has seen HTTYD 2.

I can't really think of the saddest, but The Boy in Striped Pajamas was a decent movie until it reaches the end and furiously punches you in the gut. It's like the entire movie was saving its energy and building up to those final 10 minutes.

Toy Story 3, Mad World, Marley & Me, and Buried are also pretty hard hitting in their own ways.

***a Ryōiki no Déjà vu (the theatrical movie sequel to the series Steins;Gate). I really haven't watched many sad movies, but if you found the series sad, this movie just expounds on that brilliantly.

Whilst we're talking about The Boy In The Striped Pajamas, that was the saddest movie I watched. I had to watch it twice(once in Primary 7 where a few girls were crying at the end, don't blame them, and once in S2). I would say something else about me and the movie, but I'd rather keep quiet to ensure peace.

I agree with The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. We were reading the book in high school but our teacher had the film and put it on when we were half way through the book. Probably the worst idea. Even during the film when there was a prisoner peeling the potatoes, and the boy found out he used to be a doctor. Saying "You must of been a rubbish doctor to be peeling potatoes now" and then the man looks up to him with tears in his eyes made me have a lump in my throat.

Grave of the Fireflies is probably another one. When it comes to sad films I try to hide me getting upset, but that just overtook me throughout the film.

Oddly enough, Alien Vs. Predator caught me off guard.

Just when it looks like they're both gonna win, super-mother-alien gores predator and proceeds to get killed by the human, yay..... The worst part is that he was only marked with one kill, he got like 20....
