Sometimes they're cool. Other times, not so much.

We had a really anal, stagnant one today, so I spoke with a British accent and everyone told her that I was an English exchange student. She believed it.

Oooh, there was this one sub I had in sixth grade; Mrs. Gupta, I think her name was. She was horrible; a number of the class had been acting up, and after a short time, she had us write an essay on why we were being bad and what we had to do to make up, and such. I simply refused to write, having done nothing wrong.

she wore like this outfit that obviously broke the school dress code with her hooker boots and **** lmao she was nice though
but at the end of the day, one of the pervert kids in my class asked for her number.....and he got it.

I had a sub the told us a rape joke once. It got really awkward when absolutely no one laughed, except for one guy who laughed from pure awkwardness.

I can picture her before she came in: "Let's see, what do the kids like these days? Rap music? Video games? Eeeeeeh, I'm gonna go with sexual assault, that's a good idea!"

There was one that I had in middle school that was nice to 6th graders, okay to 7th graders, and downright cruel to 8th graders.

She sent me to the principal's office for wearing a hat. Outside.
It was so stupid.

There was a teacher that subbed my sister's theatre class a couple weeks ago. He insulted their play, which they kinda wrote themselves I think, calling it a "let down." And then he would be sarcastic and insulting and try to be funny in like this douchebag kind of way. Several of the students sent in complaints.

In high school, my history teacher went away on maternity leave for most of the semester. The sub was a "fun teacher." By that I mean he spent more time joining in on students' off-topic discussions than teaching the class.
He wasn't mean or anything, but I thought that was unprofessional.

In primary school, they are good!

Although, one time I had one who sweared a little bit. I even found a swear word on one of the "fun" tests they gave us....

They are pretty cool all together though!

I had this really boring sub a few times who sounded like the clear eyes guy. He was so boring but one day he started talking about visiting Germany and everyone was really surprised. Then he said he had traveled the world and spoke lots of different languages. He ended up becoming everyone's favorite substitute. He ended up being really cool.

I had a substitute teacher that would only call on girls, his reasoning was that the boys outnumbered the girls.

....5 years later we found out he was arrested for having child pornography on his computer. .__.

----
I had another one whose son was in the classroom. Guess what happened? The son got called on the most and his friends never got in trouble.

My science teacher had some sort of disease (from what I've heard, it's a type of cancer, but idk if that's true), we have a new teacher (I am not sure what happened to our old teacher, sadly...). But the substitute we had until we got our new teacher was horrible. No, she wasn't extremely mean or anything. She just didn't know how to deal with students. The class was ****ing crazy, she never said or did anything about it. And she didn't even teach us anything so everyone failed the class for the first part of the year.

Not sure what grade this is, but most kids 8 and up should have enough sense to know when class starts and plant their butt in a seat and try and learn.

Every single substitute teacher I've ever had in years 7-9 of compulsory school (I was 13-16 back then) were all really attractive women of varying ages.

At times I found it difficult to concentrate to the subject at hand.

In Primary 6(idk grade equivalent in the US), we had this substitute teacher who showed us this murder clip. It freaked me out for a while. Although my substitute teachers were normal throughout. My last one was in Biology, she was pretty normal.

i think that's what he meant

one sub that would come in sometimes for middle school i think had a book called the duh book that he read out of it and it was about people doing really stupid things, like criminals doing stupid things leading to them getting caught, and everyone liked when he was the sub. i can't think of any really interesting stories about having subs though smilie

my dad said that when he was in school and had a sub, him and his friends would tell the sub that "jim bates" was absent, even though nobody with that name existed

we had a hilarious sub in geometry last year. when he drew a circle on the board to show an example for one of the problems we had, one of the students said "nice circle" and he replied with "thanks, it's perfect just like myself!"

i had that sub two more times that year in that class. he was better than our regular geometry teacher.

Twice we had substitutes that actually became our regular teachers for the rest of the year in 6th and 7th grade. one of them took the position because the other teacher moved to another school, and the other teacher took over because of the original one getting fired.

We don't have subtitutes in the schools around here.

Even less this particular one. You can just leave the school and come back for the next class if you'd like.
