Someone on Instagram claims to have found LPPF at a Best Buy on "Vintura Street". I'm assuming he meant Ventura Street; some where in California maybe?

So, wait, they made yet another random change on the figure? His gloves and "shoes" are now exactly the same as the normal one, and not the metallic pink we saw on the prototype? It's not as major as LC Pop Fizz's bottles, but still; he would've looked much, MUCH better with the metallic pink.

Will still be checking the forums every now and then!

Yep, not sure whats the deal with that. It would have been cool to see it exactly like the prototype.

I found this them this afternoon in Long Beach Ca. @ Best Buy. They had 2 on the pegs. Got flagged at register as street dated Feb1. No sale. Annoyed to say the last. Thought he was street dated 1-15 according to info posted in these forums. Guess not. Lol . Happy hunting.

In the TRU system he is listed for 01/15. Different retailers have different register lock dates. Remember street dates aren't set on the boxes anymore, they are set by the retailer after Activision gives an earliest approved release date

Yeah the blend in with the pink is rather stark as well. Liked the proto better. I guess they needed to macho him up a bit lol.

They're getting lazier and lazier with these. It's bad enough to rehash a figure from the exact same mold, but less color variation from the original??? Activision has gotten confident that we'll buy anything. They definitely put more work into the colors of Springtime Trigger Happy (which is probably not that much considering they can change and propose color themes on a computer).

I prefer the regular gloves myself; much better than a tacky all pink palette which I wouldn't want to touch with a ten foot pole. It's not lazy, someone might've thought the same or that metallic colors are for the exclusives. Wish the gloves were another color that's not the normal one however, maybe purple or red.

It says Trap Team Series 3 because it is Trap Team Series 3 Pop Fizz. Love Potion Pop Fizz is a variant of that and all of the pictures are for the normal blue one.

Nope, an uncharted area and then Antarctica. If it existed, they would use that capital city as the destination of a yacht race, or something...

Have been to 4 different Best Buys today and yesterday in the Seattle area, not looking for Pop Fizz necessarily but some Light and Dark expansion packs. Found a Kaos trap but not seen this Love Potion yet.

My day at Best Buy, let me explain...
When I checked Sunday morning on Best Buy.com, the picture was the one with Love Potion, so I ordered and posted my findings, however, after church I got back online and saw all of your post about it being the regular. I went there today and they had it set aside behind the Service counter. When he brought it over it was the regular (Like you all suspected). I explained to him what was posted on the site. An employee went back to see what he could find and he came back with this:
[User Posted Image]

I took it up to the front to buy and it came up "Not available to purchase". The employee at the register got one of the the managers and I explained my site to store purchase (They still had the regular one with my name on it). I explained that this was the one I ordered. The manager told me that they can not sell it until 2/1/2015. She gave me the # so I can order it when the date gets closer (Not sure if the # is the SKU or the DCPI). Before I left I asked her if I could take a picture of it, she said no problem.

I don't see me having a problem on the 1st getting one.
tigerdr Yellow Sparx Gems: 1976
#37 Posted: 11:48:33 20/01/2015
Well there you go dinoah since as you said you ordered the regular one, they don't even have the lovepotion one on the website yet. they were doing their job and you're pretty much arguing with them that you should've got the love potion one. Basically you found out it's real release date for everyone which is feb 1st which makes more sense then jan 15th

To the best of my knowledge, Best Buy does not use a Target DCPI.

I'm just curious, but what is significant about the dcpi number? Is there a reason you wouldn't just enter the UPC number under the barcode? Those should be the same at any store as far as I know.

there might be a "0" at the begining, but that could be irrelevant to any store system. I usually type it in just in case.

Because Target employees require a dcpi to look something up. They whine and fuss arguing they can't do it by upc

I bet the register reads upc numbers though. How else would you scan something if the barcode was damaged.

Guys...do you guys really need to know the UPC or DCPI for every release? It'll be widely available and in plentiful numbers. Why even go that far? As the post further up shows, Best Buy stores have them in stock, but are holding them back until 2/1.

Everything must be treated as if it is a rare holy grail. Even if it is the sixth version of a character. Looking forward to the posts from people who proudly rush to the store to buy four or five of them because everyone in their life that has ever mentioned Skylanders will need one of these "rare" gems. People get straight up hoarder crazy over variants.

On another note, I find that one EBay auction hilarious for the guy that claims he has two but cannot ship until 2/1. In other words he works at Best Buy and has the max (2) his manager will let him buy set aside and you get to pay $36+ for the honor of him shipping it to you on the same day you can walk into the store and buy it.

Because sometimes it's difficult to find anything at Target. They rarely put stuff out, but if you have the DCPI, you can usually check if it's in stock and it will even tell you if they have them in the back room. Some stores even have the ability to put the number into the price scanners (or, at least, they used to). I have two Targets in my area and only one of them had that option, but I'm not even sure if they still do. If it shows that they are in the back room, you can ask an employee to get it for you.

Every Target employee can enter a dcpi into a sapphire and look up the info. it's not just certain stores or employees. The sapphires also show surrounding stores stock as well

This has to be the lightest inventory month ever. Not only are stores not getting wave 3 refills, they just aren't getting anything, much less new figs like this. I guess with their inventory and holiday binge shopping they figured we needed some time to relax.
