YOU DONT WANT IT.

It's worse then any nightmare you can have in your entire life.

Incase some don't know what happns when one has sleep paralysis.

It's a more vivid version of a dream or nightmare. It's sorta of a combination between reality and fiction.

However though, the fiction part of it I'm honestly starting to question after thousands of stories of people seeing demons and those giant spiders from the hobbit on top of them.

Considering that I've seen similiar figures standing my room at night, I'd go with that theory that the supernatural is at work when you have sleep paralysis.

Some stories have even been that of a nuclear bomb going off.

I have it. You're not able to move, talk or even open your eyes. Not being able to control your breathing rate it the worst part.

this. it's really scary. It doesn't happen to me as often as it used to though. I always panic when it happens.

I've been getting those A LOT when I was younger...
I don't get them as frequently but they were the reason I was afraid of going back to sleep if I woke up in too early (that's when I would normally get them).

I GET IT AND IT'S THE MOST TERRIFYING THING EVER. I now sleep on my side and not my back and have only had it once since changing positions.

Your brain malfunctions when waking up in the REM stage of sleep, so you're half awake but cannot move.

I've hallucinated and been attacked by invisible ghosts, wolves, dragons, a skull, a bone thing and more supernatural crap.

The only muscles your can move are your eyes, eye lids and respiratory as these don't paralyses when asleep.

The only plus side was that I hallucinated lady gaga in this outfit. But it was just her head in a square :/

I think I might have had that happen to me once in my life. I was sleeping, and then suddenly I saw a shadow of a person just standing ther, and I couldn't move. This was a few tears ago, but I still remember it, that's how terrifying it was. But I've never had it again after that...

Very superstitious...
It's really just your eyes being open while your movement isn't and your dream centers warping what you see. I say that as a person who has it.

I had it once when I fell asleep on the couch. The living room was really blurry and I couldn't move or breathe for a little bit before I was able to wake up and jerk my body up. Pretty frightening, especially since I got lucky since I didn't get a freaky vision...

I'm sorry to hear about that. smilie That would especially suck for me, I usually wake up early at least once each night. I'm always really eager to get back to sleep too, because if I'm really lucky, once in a while I can get a lucid dream.

I don't believe I've ever had sleep paralysis but I did have a weird dream this morning. I mostly remember the last part but that's the not-so-fun part: I was looking outside from a window and all of a sudden, there was a giant blast of thunder (the noise that comes with lightning, only) and the entire sky lit up red, and boy was I glad I woke up then, I think something else was going to happen if I didn't.
