Are the Eon's Elites available to pre-order in stores? If not, could I pre-order them online and pick them up in stores, or are they delivered to my house? I've never pre-ordered anything online before smilie.

Yes, the minimum is $5.00 per figure I believe (that's what I left for each). Don't know if the cut-off for pre-orders has already been reached, I think it varies by store.

Right now only Elite Spyro and Elite Chop Chop are available and are due for release on Nov 1.

There was post made this morning about Elite Trigger Happy being the next release on Nov 28. Supposedly he will only be available for pre-order on Nov 1.

So you can reserve the figure in stores for $5 in ADDITION to the $25 you have to pay for the figure, or do you pay the $5 to reserve it and then pay the remaining $20 on release day? Also, you don't think they'll be as limited as the Kaos trap if I don't pre-order them, right?

Any amount you put down to pre-order gets included into the payment when you pick up the item. So leaving a $5 pre-order deposit will mean you have to pay the remaining $19.99 (plus tax on the full $24.99) per figure. You could pay the whole amount when you pre-order if you wanted to, and not owe anything when you go to actually pick it up.

As for how limited, no one knows for sure. These could end up being scarce and if you miss out you'll have to buy them on eBay for crazy prices, or they could end up releasing way more than people are willing to buy and stores will end up with a huge amount of figures left over.

The only exclusive Skylander figure Gamestop has ever released (other than Dark Edition Swap Force) was Polar Whirlwind for Skylanders Giants. That did sell out, but depending on your store/area some sold old immediately and some still had several for a while. I don't think they restocked when they ran out of their initial number of figures each store received but I could be wrong on that.

The way reserves work at all GameStop locations is you put X down and when you go to pick up your reserve, that amount is removed from the final purchase price when checking out. If you end up needing to cancel a reserve, you'll either get that money refunded to you or, if you're making another purchase at that time, will receive that amount off of your purchase. As my local GameStop has been unable to compete with TRU's Trap Team sales and has completely failed to receive any wave 2 stock to date, I've had to cancel every preorder I've had with them save my Dark starter (which I picked up at launch) and the Eon's Elite figures but ended up getting that much of a discount off of the things I was buying at those times. Hope this helps/clarifies.

And you can always cancel the pre-orders getting money back or just apply it to figure purchase if in store! And the minimum to fir anything is $5, unless otherwise stated!

Sorry to bump the topic but I just figured out I won't have any time in between studying this week to go out to the Gamestop on the other side of town. Like I said, I'm not too experienced with preordering from GS, so is there a way where I could preorder by phone and use my credit card or something?

I would have to say only if you know someone at the store! I have done this before, but manager at my GS has been a friend for years! You can try though!

You should be able to preorder on the website and they'll ship it to you. I went to a GS yesterday and saw their box of Chop-Chops, so if you live in a town that has a smaller GS, they might have some anyway. Always remember, the GS policy is a 48 hour hold on preorders. You can always ask them to sell you any reserves that are more than 48 hours old.

The policy is 48 hours, but not everyone will follow that directly. For rarer things that are not going to be replenished, they tend to be held for a week to two weeks to prevent an issue with the preordering customer.

---------------

Stores will not allow preorders over the phone with a credit card, as they need the physical card present for the transaction. Now, they may be willing to do it over the phone with a gift card, but that is on a store to store basis.

You can also preorder online for pickup in store, that just requires you putting your credit card information online. This works well if you can't get to a store between now and the figure release!

Wait, you've already seen Elites at your Gamestop?! They weren't available for purchase were they?

Most stores have probably already received the Spyro and Chop Chop figures but shouldn't be selling until Saturday.

I have one $9.99 off coupon left, so I'll get Spyro and preorder Trigger Happy will be my final purchases for 2014. I've not pursued the figures as much as I have in the past. I'm starting to get over the game. Thats the problem with an annual release cycle, well that and the endless glitches and bugs.
