I am probably the biggest Doctor Who fan out of most of you on here and it just seems like every Doctor Who thread in stuff and nonsense is terrible. Honestly the Doctor Who fandom is pretty bad in general a lot of the time. Rendar getting serious here for once, but sometimes I prefer not to let people know I like Doctor Who because of how crazy the fans can get.

That being said, I love this season so much and Capaldi is a fantastic Doctor. His manipulative tendencies remind me a lot of Sylvester McCoy (Seventh Doctor). He also reminds me a bit of Tom Baker (Fourth Doctor) because he can see something terrible happen, make a smart but serious remark, and move on. He's also kind of sassy like Patrick Troughton (Second Doctor) and especially Colin Baker (Sixth Doctor) were.

I had to explain to my dad that the War Doctor wasn't the first Doctor, that was a p fun ride.
It's true that I've yet to watch classic who but other than the very few Netflix episodes they have it's a bother to find them and then click the site, get rid of ads, wait for it to buffer, etc.
I am, however, familiar with all the Doctors.

As for Series 8, I'm enjoying it, I was skeptical at first however, my only problem is that Clara is very prominent and while that's normally okay is seems to be she has more lines than the Doctor sometimes, I just feel things should be kept steady between both roles imo

Clara has become a great character this season and I think she's doing just fine now. I really hope Missy doesn't turn out to be another version of Clara or something because that would be too stupid and predictable. I've seen most of classic who and I've even met Colin Baker (Sixth Doctor) and John Barrowman. Didn't mean to boast that I was the biggest fan on here though. It doesn't really matter anyway. Also, I'd recommend listening to Big Finish audio stories, especially the fourth and eight doctor audios.
