So I was at Target today and saw that the TT section was all set up. I noticed that one of the pegs said Outlaw Brawl and Chain GWP.

My guess was 'guaranteed with pre-order'. I head heard that they might be selling loose ones as well. Anyone with more info?

Well in the UK there is a shopping chain called ASDA that is selling the Outlaw Brawl and Chain Trap with him pre installed separately, so my guess is that somewhere in America (and elsewhere) most likely will too.

My guess for America would be Wallmart, simply because Wallmart owns ASDA here.

Outlaw Brawl and Chain is exclusive to Target in the US.

Is this an actual item or is it an electronic extra?

It's a physical trap. They come with pre-orders either in store or online from Target. Here is a pic from eBay:



So the question is whether Target is also selling them loose or limiting them to pre-orders. With the crazy TRU deals, I may just cancel most of my pre-orders elsewhere, especially if I pick up the tablet edition I was going to order from Target for half price at TRU. If that's the case, I'd still like to get the variant trap.

The only at Target sticker would indicate that they are specially made for target. I would assume that they'll sell them separately at some point..some of the other preorder bonuses from Target over the years have lacked any kind "exclusive" sticker so this would indicate to me that they made this to sell regularly.

I just got in from going to my target in Culpeper, VA. They had the character 3 packs out. As well as the 3 trap packs, a PS3 Starter pack and 4 single outlaw brawl and chain traps. I took the outlaw brawl and chain trap and tried to check out but it was computer locked until sunday, but they put them away for me in the customer service area to pick up on Sunday.

If this is the case I will almost definitely be getting the tablet edition at the TRU midnight release for half off with my Dark Edition, and then I'll just pick up a trap at Target the next day.

Maybe they plan to sell it alone BUT if you preordered you get it for free.

I hate when people that pre order this stuff get so defensive over it and try to tell others it won't be available. It will be for sale if you didn't preorder. Who cares if it was free. Some of us get discounts at other retail stores so we save money even if we buy it. Target is selling these. Not sure how many they will have but if you didn't pre order from target go drop $5 on it. My Target in CT couldn't even find theirs, I was bummed as I wanted to snag it, but another dad was understandably pissed as it was supposed to be right there with his preorder.

My Target had a few of them sitting out for preorders, and they had nearly 100 of them in the back. I got one of them plus Nitro Krypt King.

I bought one. They had a bunch for sell.

I too can confirm that they can be sold without pre-ordering.

I also picked up the same Water Log Holder trap from Toys R Us (minus Outlaw). Do I need both? They're technically the same trap, right? I'm thinking about just returning the TRU one. I don't need two if they're the exact same.

There were about 10 OB&C at me Target in WA. Thought about grabbing extras, but only got one.

There not exactly the same (I bought both) the exclusive one has extra coding on the chip so Outlaw can only show up on the exclusive one.

If you put any villain that ISN'T B&C inside the trap, then no, there is no difference. However, if you put B&C inside that trap, he'll appear with his alternate "Outlaw" color scheme.

scooped a OB&C trap during lunch today along with NKK

I should have gone there on launch day. I had the tablet edition with the trap and NKK pre-ordered online. It turns out the items are back-ordered, and since I really wanted the tablet edition for a trip next week, I went today to see what I could find. They still had a few NKK, but no tablet or OBC trap in stock. I scooped up an NKK with a really good (read: not messed up!) paint job, got the trap on eBay for $12 (worth not having to call stores and hunt for it, since I won't be getting it free anymore anyway), and the tablet edition from Amazon will now be here Wednesday.

Cancelled my Target order.

So if I don't get this at target, will I be out of luck? Can I get him ingame?

Pretty much. The variants are tied to the physical traps themselves, and you can only get the Outlaw B+C trap at Target.

Was in my Target on Tuesday, and they have a ton of OB&C on the pegs now.

to think your special because you get something by pre-ordering is just foolish... i never pre-order i think its not the smartest thing to do. you pay up front for something you dont know if it will be good or done properly... and with all the bugs/glitches, the one day patch this year. it is just shows how wrong it is to give them the money first, they delivered you a broken product...

My friend preorders every game he plans to get, regardless of preorder bonuses. I asked him why he did so, as i just wait for the games to drop down a bit in price. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A MAN GET SO ANGRY OVER A TRIVIAL QUESTION. Who cares if you have to wait one extra day to play destiny?

Well, the market needs the "bleeding edge" folks to keep the industry viable. If we were all consumers at the tail end of the cycle they couldn't pay for everything. So THANK your friend for helping to subsidize the industry.

Btw, I RARELY do pre-orders. Evil Within and Batman Arkham Asylum (Rocksteady) were the onlly one's I've bothered with. I have no problem paying for games I want, and I also have no problem waiting for games I want to play at a much cheaper price. It all depends on my preference.

The last two skylanders games have been the ONLY ones I've participated in a midnight launch. It's more of a chase thing with me than anything else. Given the perceived quality problem--if I see substantial issues when I play later this year I'll be bowing out of further purchases of the franchise until the "bleeding edgers" tell me how well it was executed.

i got my dark editions at gamestop and bought the traps along with nitro krypt at target. since of the heads up about the pegs eventhough i did have the reserves done at target for the regular edition, there wasn't any dark editions on release day at my target so i just bought the exclusive traps

Both of my local Targets have plenty of them. If anyone has an extra Riot Shield Shredder, I'm willing to trade.

It makes me laugh that there are so many out there as I pre ordered online to get the trap and release date came and gone and I never got my package so I called them to see what the hold up was and they told me they ran out of the traps and I had to wait until they got more stock which they said it is undetermined. So I canceled with them walked in target bought the starter and the trap separate which sucked as I had to pay for it but god knows I would probably be still waiting on my online pre order.
