The contest was not to decide who was going to be in Trap Team and the other 2 are left out (They were already programed/created for the game), it was to get a chance to be a part of Trap Team(brag that your name was picked). I believe all 3 names were picked from the contest (Some may say it was rigged) and then the one that got the most votes as their favorite name won the contest.
