Blitz flew inside the broken structure. "These scrolls look interesting." she said.

Ki and Virtu were back on Flain "Lets find them... again" Ki said

"They went in that direction" Virtu said as she pointed in the direction that the group flew off in

Frocious walked through one of the many hallways that surrounded the main room. They all lead further underground.
"Something bright is down here!" he said to the others.
Kumara picked up a scroll which held some information on the 'Drakos'.
"I've found something interesting too," she said heading over to Frocious, "Keep anything of value. It might be useful."

At the end of the hallway was a room filled with bright crystals filled with electric energy.
"Wow, what is this?" Frocious mumbled in awe.

"That has to be an energy generator!" Blitz cheered. "That will get rid of our energy-listing problems!"

((Storm, you forgot about Flain again, I want to have a presence in this, but I haven't been able to))

"Looks like they're in that building." Flain said, pointing at Kumara. "You think that griffon might be able to help you?"

"I hope" Virtu said

"Lets go then buddy" Ki said

Kumara stepped in, "Well, all creatures can absorb power from crystals, there just haven't been seen in ages. Most have even forgotten about them. I remember the leaders telling us that if you come in contact with one, they will create energy waves and force it into you."

Kumara nodded, "I also found this scroll containing information about a creature called 'Drakos'. One of the illustrations seem to look like that shadow creature we fought."

"Yeah, it says they are the souls of creatures that were murdered and had a terrible life. It says here that 'when one has experiences with traumatic events and is exposed to the darkness within their hearts, the creature can potentially reform after death into a trapped, mindless spirit' sounds delightful," Kumara replied.
"So, they were once alive and... non black-and-scary?" Frocious asked while Kumara nodded.

"That's nice." Blitz said sarcastically. "So those shadow creatures are just abused animals?"

"Seems so," Kumara said sadly, "we should regroup outside and see what the others found."

((How about they run into the group after they get out of the building? I recall in an earlier post Flain spotted the group so it can work ))

Kumara followed Icestorm outside. She suddenly picked up a scent.
"Do you smell that? Someone is close..."
Frocious began sniffing the air and looked over to the right. He saw two figures in the distance, "over there."

"Hey, someone sees us" Virtu said

Ki looked at the figures in the distance "Hey! Can you help us?!" He yelled

Kumara tilted her head to the side, "I guess... what are you doing so far away from safe territory? It's dangerous out here."

"We were trying to find you guys" Ki said

"Can any of you fix my broken leg?" Virtu asked

"I could use my healing crystal," Kumara replied softly, "and I'm sorry if you had to go through so much just to get here." She walked over to them.
"What are your names? I'm Kumara by the way."
Frocious trotted up to them, "And i'm Frocious, Co-leader of the ice wolves."

"I'm Kigali, and this is my sister Virtu, as you can tell we're foxes" Ki said

"Its nice to meet you" Virtu said

Kumara smiled, "Nice to meet you too. Are you all alone?" Kumara took the crystal hanging around her neck and held it just above Virtu's leg, "Just hold still, It might feel a bit weird so try not to move too much."
Frocious began sniffing Kigali, "your scent is very different from any I have ever smelled... Where are you from?"

"My name is Skyward." Skyward introduced herself. "This is Blitz, one of my friends." Blitz nodded as Skyward pointed to her.

"I'm Flain." Flain bowed.

"Flain, you brought us here to find Rune" Ki said "Nice to meet all of you" He said to the group

Virtu nodded and held her leg still "We're from a far away place, we moved here about 6 months ago, unfortunately our house was busted by a meteor" She told Frocious

"Yoou could help us rebuild later, but we really should do something about this strange darkness" Ki said

"Well, hopefully that crystal gave you a charge up till we get to The Cave of Pure Heart," Kumara said, "all done. Now, it may be fully healed, but that doesn't mean you go doing anything reckless, OK Virtu?"

"No wonder... Well, I guess you would be helpful. Do you know of Solas?" Frocious asked Ki.

"Understood, thanks buddy" Virtu said as she hugged Kumara

"Solas? I heard of him, but I don't know much" Ki said

Skyward studied the crystal. "It's too big to carry with us," she thought aloud, "but what if we break it into smaller shards?"

"Well, Solas is the one who gave us this mission to stop the darkness, I would think she would be grateful for more help," Frocious said.

Kumara used her wings to hug back, "we should get moving now. The lake is over that ridge,"

"Then lets go" Virtu said

"We'd be honored to help" Ki said

Kumara walked up to Virtu, "Would you like me to carry you? Since we're going to fly, you and your brother can ride along with us. I can only take one of you though,"
"I'm not strong enough, sorry," Frocious admitted sheepishly.

"Thanks buddy" Virtu said as she smiled warmly at Kumara

"I guess I'm with you Icestorm" Ki said with a smile

Kumara took flight and hovered for a moment, "you OK?"

Virtu looked around "Yeah, but this place isn't, everything looks dead" She said

Ki climbed onto Icestorm "Ok buddy"

"That's because nothing lives or grows here, meaning an unbalanced ecosystem," Kumara started to fly towards a large lake which was in the distance, "The war killed off most inhabitants."
