...heard of Toontown Online/Played it/or are currently playing Toontown Rewritten? I love this MMO and I can't find ANYONE else who has actually heard of it or its unofficial sequel.

I remember commercials a very long time ago, never played it though.

It closed last year when Disney stopped caring about it and never updated it for 4 years. Then, a group of teens made a sequel called Toontown Rewritten, with a different story and new content. Disney apparently gave them the green light, and they're doing an excellent job, to where it's starting to look like a professional game. If you old fans wanted to play it, it's going into open beta September 19th. The storyline is a bit confusing, but the gist of it from what we know so far is that it takes place before the original game, and it involves time travel and a slightly darker story. To see a major part of the story, search for the toontown rewritten elections on youtube.

I joined it many years ago but couldn't figure out what to do. I was 8.

I remember the commercials, and an old Neopets game advertising it, but that's about it.
