I don't know if this has been suggested before, but I recently joined Smashboards and one thing they do is whenever someone quotes you you receive a message. I think that could be implemented here fairly nicely. Sometimes I miss replies from people, so it would be nice to know when a conversation has been continued...

Does anyone else think this could be a nice feature? Or you could completely disagree, it's just an idea I had, so it's yours to express your thoughts on it, good or bad.

Dunno if someone would want to be reminded they're being quoted and badmouthed somewhere after a heated discussion in another board, but maybe a notification that only includes the board that it's in and the user that's talking would be enough if someone wants to ignore that or just know if they're actually being replied to.

It would just something like this:

"LunarDistortion quoted your post in Quote Informer"

Just so you know that a user quoted you, no need for the post to be in the notification.

Yes, this has been requested before. Nothing's ever happened, but I completely support this idea, it would be real useful. We just have to wait and see what will happen.
