He is supposed to be out today in canada but cant go to walmart today... :( but its official that he's gonna be released cuz it's on walmart.com

He's finally been released.. in Germany.

The foreign peg says it all.

I'd expect him to come out within a few weeks in the US. I have a possible date, but I'm not sure if it's correct (it's from Walmart's mobile app, possible placeholder date).

Friend of mine who works at TRU in NJ says that they got 2 cases in.

EDIT: A bit more info; said it was register locked until 12/31/14; no notes were given to the store that they couldn't sell it/ the box doesn't mention that there's a hold date. If you see it and it doesn't check out, consider pressing them about it and seeing what they can do for you.

A register lock of 12/31/14 seems like a mistake. Maybe he was mistaken or they've put a placeholder date until they lock in a real date. They could still be working out the details of a release date so they can have time to setup promotions, ads, email blasts, etc. I would see no reason why they would have a lockout date of 12/31/14, especially getting them in this early.

Received a "hot toy alert" this morning from TRU for QDRS. It said "quantities limited" and to get it at TRU "before it's available anywhere else".

Hmm. I'm on vacation heading to york/lancaster for some outlets etc. I think there toysrus there, guess I'll see if they got them in. havent gotten a hot toy alert yet thou I haven't gotten any in awhile. Maybe i'll resign up on another email before I go.

Got mine tonight at a Toys R Us in Eastgate Ohio, which is a suburb of Cincinnati. They Didnt have them them out, they were just sitting in the back room. i asked and she said yes we have them, how many do you want?

I have seen them both up close and they look the same. TRU had quite a few and the only major difference in paint was some of the belt buckles were more bronze and some more gold in color.

Plenty of QDRS on the pegs at a TRU in Scottsdale AZ I stopped at last night.

Looked for S:TT Dark Edition pre-order cards and none were to be found. :-

I'd assume you can price match it at TRU to Walmart's pricing on their website, so you could still pay regular price without the hassle of trying to find a Walmart who has put them out.
