Technically you're in the past. The brian registers the senses something like 0.0038 seconds after they actually happen. So when you see something happen, it's essentially already happened.

It depends on where are you looking at your current state... If you are looking at it from the past, you're in the future and if you're looking from the future you're in the past (sense)
